Why would a man need a dog?

Beet

In many breeds, beets are poorly absorbed and cause persistent diarrhea, bloating and pain in the intestines. However, it is a very healthy vegetable. It is recommended to give it in a stewed and boiled form, grated or chopped in a blender. It should be borne in mind that beets give red hair a bright rich shade, but white dogs should not be given it.

Theory: beets – a strong allergen, poorly tolerated by individual dog breeds.

Fact: In the absence of an allergic reaction, as well as for dogs with red hair, it is a very useful and valuable product. Adjusts the intestines, is given with a spoonful of linseed oil and herbs.

This is a valuable source of fiber, contains vitamins A, B, C, and has a beneficial effect on liver function. Give it should be limited, not more than 2 times a week.

Cabbage

Reason: First of all, we are talking about white cabbage. The reason is that in its raw form it causes flatulence, bloating and pain in the intestines.

Answer: it should be given in a limited and boiled form. Brussels sprouts, broccoli, Peking and cauliflower are more useful for dogs, it is also better to slightly stew or boil them. Cabbage is useful in vitamins A, C, and beta-carotene.

Many berries unexpectedly fell under the ban: blackcurrant, strawberry, strawberry

In fact, in reasonable quantities and in the absence of allergies, you can and should feed any seasonal berries growing on your site, just do not forbid them to eat freely, at the request of the dog. Most useful: cranberries, blueberries, and lingonberries.

Mushrooms

Theory: For canids, mushrooms are heavy food that they cannot digest and assimilate. In addition, mushrooms often contain dangerous substances, they accumulate salts of heavy metals, carcinogens, and toxins, which can cause allergies, diarrhea and severe poisoning, up to the death of the dog.

Fact: It will be better if the dog does not know mushrooms as food because the harm from them significantly exceeds the possible benefits for its body (mushrooms contain a lot of vitamin D, nicotinic acid and antioxidants). Dogs, which owners sometimes allow to eat mushrooms, can subsequently be poisoned by dangerous poisonous mushrooms.

Alcohol

From history: Previously, in the USSR, dog handlers were forced to give dogs alcohol, due to heavy loads. However, alcohol is not for dogs! Intoxication, coma or death are the consequences of drinking drinks with a degree. The smaller the dog, the greater the effect.

Fact: Although we have all heard or know cases when dogs have successfully treated dogs for poisoning, plague, and even piroplasmosis in vodka or cognac with egg yolk, we should categorically not risk the health of the pet. In dogs, it is not possible to break down and remove ethanol and the product of its breakdown – acetaldehyde, it is completely and instantly absorbed into the blood, has a depressing effect on the central nervous system and leads to serious disturbances in the functioning of the liver and kidneys, and with frequent use to undermined health and even the death of a pet .

Xylitol

A sweetener found in sugarless chewing gum, sweets and baked goods. Xylitol can be approved for humans but leads to liver damage and a decrease in blood sugar in dogs to levels that are life-threatening. For a dog weighing 5 kg, it is enough to eat one piece of sugarless chewing gum to get a potentially toxic dose. A low blood level may develop within 10-15 minutes after taking xylitol, along with vomiting and loss of coordination.

Broth and minced meat

Reason: dogs are not recommended to give broth, and even if cereals are in the diet, they should be boiled in water more correctly, it is better to drain the broth before serving. The main reason is the fat content and high content of active substances, which provokes an excessive release of bile and gastric juice, as well as high-fat broth. This leads to diseases of the pancreas and liver, as well as gastritis and cholecystitis. Often, such nutrition leads to allergies, hair loss and diseases of the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. And also a set of excess weight. An exception is not a fortified diluted chicken stock for a recovering animal.

This is not a natural food for canids!

Minced meat is often made from stale meat, may contain urgent slaughter products, and often contains dyes and preservatives. In addition, eating minced meat leads to plaque formation, the jaw muscles do not work, this harms the dog. Even puppies are advised to give meat in small pieces, and not in a paste texture.

There are exceptions – this is beef jelly containing broth. It is very useful for growing puppies and dogs of large breeds, as well as for the period of rehabilitation after an injury.

There are few strict prohibitions, it is easy to remember them. In moderation and with good tolerance, you can give the dog a lot of controversial, but useful products, and therefore a good natural diet.

And to remember, a shortlist of really forbidden products for dogs :

  • spicy,
  • pickled,
  • fatty,
  • fried,
  • smoked (sausage, sausages, barbecue),
  • hot and frozen foods,
  • spices, large amounts of salt,
  • sugar and its substitutes, chocolate,
  • canned food,
  • alcohol, tobacco,
  • tea, coffee,
  • carbonated drinks,
  • food for cats,
  • mushrooms,
  • some human vitamins and medicines,
  • boiled and hollow chicken bones,
  • spoiled food,
  • leftovers from the table, soups, cereals, meatballs and minced meat (not recommended),
  • many bowls of cereal (millet, pearl barley, semolina, maize, sorghum),
  • yeast dough, pastries, and bakery products,
  • legumes and corn,
  • chips,
  • ketchup, mayonnaise, and sauces.

It is important to remember the main thing – the diet is a purely individual thing, it must take into account a lot of factors, especially a sense of proportion and tolerance of certain types of products.

Never feed the dog foods you are not sure of.

Fatty, smoked, peppered, fried foods are definitely not for dogs!

And if suddenly something went wrong, contact your veterinarian right away!

Carefully monitor the behavior of your pet after introducing a new product into its diet. Obvious signs of the poisoning of the body may not appear immediately, but the success of the treatment of the animal depends on how quickly you notice something is wrong.

In any matter of keeping a pet, the first condition must be safety, the second is the absence of fanaticism. Do not believe categorical prohibitions if they are not justified and not supported by facts. Caution should be observed, but it is important to remember that we live in an advertising world that knows how to manipulate our minds and habits.
